Alas the Table Tennis gods smile upon Ma Long who defeated Wang Hao over 5 games. Earlier Wang Hao stopped Timo Boll’s advancement over six games (11:8, 8:11, 7:11, 11:5, 11:9, 11:7).
The women’s event also had an upset win by 19 year Ding Ning of China over Guo Yue in six sets.
